You might want to think twice before commuting to work every day in your car.

A new study has analyzed the 20 largest metro areas by population in the U.S. and found something interesting.  Commuters in eight cities could save a significant amount of money by using Uber to get to work.

When taking into account the weekly costs of driving and owning your own vehicle, which includes gas, insurance, parking, and general wear and tear, using Uber can save you money in Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Diego, San Francisco and Washington D.C.

In San Francisco, it was found that commuters can save a whopping $83 per week by taking Uber.
