The accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers had a monumentally embarrassing screw-up at the Oscars this year when the Best Picture envelopes got mixed up and "La La Land" was announced instead of "Moonlight."
Luckily for the accounting firm, the Oscars believe in second chances. PricewaterhouseCoopers has been retained for the 90th Academy Awards ceremony next year.
Board members with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences decided to keep its longtime accounting firm on the payroll after a six-hour meeting Tuesday night.
Next year safety measures will be put in place to assure an epic flub like this doesn't happen again.
