President Trump has chose to forego a tradition.
Throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at a baseball game has become an American tradition for presidents. In keeping with the tradition, the Washington Nationals extended the offer for him to throw out the first pitch at Opening Day on Monday.
While it was reported that he was in talks to do so, a few hours after the initial report, the White House declined the invitation.

Presidents to have thrown the ceremonial first pitch at Nationals Park on Opening Day include George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
