Alex Rodriguez wants to help less fortunate former pro athletes.
Politico media editor Alex Weprin is reporting the retired baseball superstar is set to film a pilot for CNBC that focuses on helping ex-athletes who are in financial distress.
A-Rod has spent the past couple seasons as a FOX baseball analyst, trying to build a more likable and relatable personality than the one he was known and disliked for when he played.
A-Rod makes a reported $20 million per year in off-the-field ventures, so he is probably a good person to help show former athletes how to invest, etc.
There is no info about what the setup of the show will be.
